What's one thing that you'd like to get done this weekend? Is there anything holding you back?
I really wanted to swap out the fan temp switch in my vanagon. I took the grill off and was all ready to catch the stream of coolant escaping the radiator, and had arranged for help in bleeding the system when complete. However, I don't have deep enough sockets for the thing, since it has a huge plastic electrical plug on top of it.
See, the green part is aimed out at me, and the metal part is in the engine. So I need a socket not only wide enough in diameter (29 mm, pretty huge), but deep enough to slip over all that green plastic. Sears doesn't carry such a thing, nor do local auto parts shops. Mac Tools will sell me a set for $300 something, not sure if I can get just the one. Anyway, I wasn't able to fix it this weekend like I had hoped.
